The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was indeed a bold experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education.

CBSE & NEP

The school subscribes to CBSE Curriculum based on National Education Policy of 2020 from Grade I to XII. The school got its middle school affiliation in 1994, Secondary School affiliation in 1995 and Senior Secondary affiliation in 1998. Education is an essential and indispensable element for the all-round development of any society and country and a comprehensive National Education Policy is formulated by our nation to fulfill this requirement. National Education Policy is a comprehensive framework for elementary education to higher education as well as vocational training in both rural and urban India. The policy aims to transform India's education system by 2040.

GRADE IV TO X

We follow a wide range of student - centered approach which actively engages the students of Grade IV to X in the learning process. Some of the learning strategies that could be incorporated in a comprehensive approach includes, self-directed learning, cooperative learning, role playing, power point presentation, smart class learning, behavioral rehearsal assignments, project work, etc. Activity oriented teaching related to different subjects, is encouraged to evaluate the subject knowledge, attitude and real calibre of the students.

We have a full-fledged Senior Secondary section with elaborate lab facilities, offering the courses with the following subject combinations:

EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT

GRADE IV TO X

From academic year 2022-23, the examination and evaluation is conducted as per the recorded assessment structure explained below. Out of 100 marks, Annual exam/ Board Exam will be conducted for 80 marks and the remaining 20 marks for internal assessment. Student has to score minimum 33% marks in both areas for promotion to higher class. Internal assessment will have pen paper test (5 marks), multiple assessment (5 marks), portfolio (5 marks) and subject enrichment activity (5 marks). Co-curricular activities are promoted for the holistic development of a child.

Grade XI

The evaluation is purely based on written examinations and internal assessment/practicals. Students are promoted to the second year only if the student secures a minimum of 33% for both written examination and internal assessment.

 GRADE XII

The evaluation is purely based on written examinations and internal assessment/practicals. External practical examinations are conducted for the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Physical Education, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, History and Political Science and internal assessment for Mathematics, English, Malayalam, and Arabic.
