Mathrubhumi's "Reading Against Drugs" campaign and "Madhuram Malayalam" programme were organised at MES Central School, Tirur, with the aim of promoting the habit of reading among students and creating awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse.

The programmes were inaugurated by Joint RTO Anas Mohammed. School Secretary Salam P. Lillis presided over the function, while Principal V. P. Madhusoodanan delivered the welcome address.

As part of the Madhuram Malayalam initiative, Tirur Sub-Inspector of Police N. R. Sujith inaugurated the newspaper distribution by handing over the first copy of the Mathrubhumi newspaper to a student.

Mathrubhumi Correspondent Pradeep Payyoli proposed the vote of thanks.

School Treasurer Jalil Kainikkara, Joint Secretary Najumudheen Kallingal, and Vice Principal Benny P. T. extended their felicitations and conveyed their best wishes on the occasion.

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students and teachers, reinforcing the importance of reading as a powerful tool in building a drug-free society.
