Basheer Day was celebrated at MES Central School under the auspices of the Malayalam Literary Club with a variety of programs. Vaikom Muhammad Basheer, the writer known for his deep human consciousness rooted in love and truth, was remembered with great reverence. Iconic characters from Basheer’s works—such as Pathumma, Sara, Keshavan Nair, Majeed, Suhara, Jameela, and Abdul Sahib—were brought to life by the students in unique and vibrant portrayals. The entire school campus turned into a literary ambiance filled with the spirit of Basheer’s stories. Teachers and students actively participated in the event. The management, teachers, and club members shared that the celebration helped the younger generation connect more closely with the humanism and life philosophy found in Basheer’s writings.
