MES Central School, Tirur, celebrated Basheer Day with a variety of programmes to commemorate the life and literary legacy of the renowned Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer.
As part of the celebration, Principal Mr.V. P. Madhusoodanan delivered a commemorative speech highlighting Basheer's life, literary contributions, and enduring influence on Malayalam literature. A major attraction of the programme was the students' portrayal of famous characters from Basheer's works through creative costume presentations, giving them a deeper appreciation of his timeless writings.
Vice Principal Mr. P T Benny and Higher Secondary H M Mr. Manoj Kumar and Secondary HM Mr.Mujeeb Rahman extended their felicitations. The Basheer Day celebration, attended by teachers and students, served as a meaningful initiative to foster a love for literature and encourage reading habits among young learners.
