Anti-Drug Awareness Class
An anti-drug awareness class was organized at Tirur MES Central School. MES State Vice President Mr.Muhammad Shafi K inaugurated the event. Excise Department Tirur Region Circle Inspector Mr Sadique A was the chief guest. The school chairman,Mr. Anwar Sadath Kalliyath, presided over the function.
The school principal, Mr Madhusoodanan V P delivered the welcome speech, while school secretary Mr.Salam P. Lillis gave the keynote address. Vimukthi resource person from the Excise Department, Mr.Ganeshan K., conducted the session. He shared real-life experiences of individuals whose lives had been severely affected by drug addiction.
The class covered various aspects, including what drugs are, why people use them, the harmful effects of drug use, preventive measures, and the legal consequences of drug abuse. The session aimed to help students understand the dangers of substance abuse and to guide them toward a life where they see life itself as the greatest source of happiness.
Teachers and parents were also given recommendations on how to help students stay away from drugs. The school vice chairman, Mr.Rasheed P A joint secretary Mr.Najmuddin Kallingal, and other management members honored the guests with mementos.
Students from classes 10 and 12, along with their parents, teachers, and school management representatives, attended the program.
